The Special Needs Ministries team were involved in Special Needs and sign language training at the Marlborough Main SDA Church in Harare, Zimbabwe on Special Needs/ Possibilities Ministries Sabbath. They taught elders, children, mothers and youth how to be inclusive. The SNM team consisted of Douglas Mapeta, Special Needs Advocate and volunteer; Gerald Hara, sign language interpreter; Chiedza Hukuimwe, Deaf interpreter, Marcilyn Shamu, interpreter, Rejoice Choga, interpreter, and the volunteer journalist, Letwin. In this district, Marlborough Main SDA Church became the first to be an inclusive church, worshiping with people with different special needs. Douglas says, “We thank God for the work in Zimbabwe!”
Below are some pictures and a video of activities during the day, shared by Douglas Mapeta.
